“I was surprised and honored to be selected as part of a distinguished professional group like NACVA’s 30 Under Thirty. I recently joined the valuation team at Haynie & Company after switching from audit. I want to thank my valuation managers, Ashley Edwards and Aaron Abendroth, for teaching and guiding me on this new career path. I am grateful that Ashley nominated me after working with her for only a short period. I hope to live up to their expectations and strengthen the valuation team.
I advise aspiring accountants to ask questions and not be discouraged if they feel lost. Work experience significantly differs from school, so don’t worry too much when it feels like you know nothing. We’ve all felt like that before. Do your best to find solutions, try them out, and if they don’t work, then ask for help.

Previously, I worked on the attest side of Haynie, where I gained significant experience for two years. I then realized that I wanted to work in something different.
