29 Dec 2020 Haynie Gives: Ronald McDonald House Austin
Austin, TX is filled with amazing and inspiring non-profits. It has been our privilege to connect with and volunteer alongside some of these organizations in 2020.
One of our Winter 2020 projects included our team investing a bit of time to create and extend hope to a community of brave, tiny warriors at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas. This hotel-styled “Home Away from Home” offers families a respite of hope when their kids are needing care through Dell Children’s Hospital.
The RMHC website explains their mission, “Our House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal, or where they lay their head at night. We believe that when a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine.”
The Austin Haynie & Company Team was honored to knit preemie caps, create snuggly blankets, and illustrate signs of hope for these amazing, brave families. Our Team invites you to visit rmhc-ctx.org for more information on a project that you/your family can make together. You can color and create a social-media sign of hope and post it … or pick up a few yards of flannel fabric and tie knots to make a warm blanket of hope. Ronald McDonald House Communities are scattered across the nation … take a look online to see how you can help!
