The Haynie Holiday Tree Auction is a new event, started in 2020, by Managing Partner, Dave Peterson. The Haynie & Company local offices were invited to take part in a purposeful and encouraging new holiday tradition to help non-profits across the country.
Each office was invited to donate a creative and inspiring holiday tree for the company-wide online auction. Clients, staff, friends, family members, and local communities will then be invited to participate in the online auction which will go live at 8 am on November 30 and will close at 8 pm on December 4, 2020. The Haynie & Company Austin Office is creating a 7.5 foot, beautifully lit, Texas-Themed tree. The Austin Office is led by Bill Hamilton, and includes Audit, Accounting Services, and Tax Team Members. Each staff member provided cash donations, Texas-styled ornaments, and/or creative time and talents to come together to create this tree. From the cowboy hat tree topper to the overflow of stockings, boots, artwork, and gifts under the tree including $200+ Local Austin Restaurant Gift Cards, this tree sparkles and shines with stars, antlers, horseshoes, rope and more.
The proceeds from the auction of this tree will be donated to the Central Texas Food Bank. The Austin Team of Haynie & Company has enjoyed a variety of volunteering opportunities with this food bank over the past several years. Our teams have been a part of Austin Restaurant Week (which benefits the food bank) and volunteered in the fall of 2020 at their local food bank distribution centers. The Central Texas Food Bank, established in 1982, has been at the front line of providing hunger relief to many Texans. Each year, it serves families, through 300 Partner Agencies, in 21 Central Texas Counties and provides approximately 39 million meals to communities.
Ready to saddle-up and bid on this Texas-themed original tree? Haynie & Company clients, family, friends, and vendors across the nation are invited to put in a bid. The Haynie & Company Austin Office Team can deliver the tree to the online auction winner the week of December 7, 2020 (delivery is available within 20 miles of our office location, 8303 N. Mopac, Austin Texas 78759). Please note, trees cannot be shipped, however, if someone outside of this 20-mile delivery radius purchases the tree during the online auction, we can provide an option for the winner to encourage a local Austin-area family. The Haynie & Company Austin staff can plan to deliver the tree to the Central Texas Food Bank for their team to share the gift cards and the items under the tree with someone that needs encouraging during this challenging 2020 year.
